The Holistic Approach Versus Modern Medicine

The Holistic approach versus Modern medicine. In this article, I can not express enough the importance of changes that we need to make in returning to Mother Nature. Modern medicine has overstepped its boundaries and instead of making people better they are getting sicker.

As we watch our TV screens there are Medications that are put on the market and along with them are there possible side effects that are clearly noted. If you have any of these side effects get in touch with your MD immediately.

What are we doing people?

I have been finding it hard to approach my subject on Holistic remedies without going over the pros and cons, between the holistic approach versus modern medicine. In the 20th century, most medicines were extracted from plants and medicinal herbs. Only since the 1900s, thousands of modern drugs have been copying  Mother Nature and have been synthesized from organic compounds.

I will use two classic examples Aspirin and Penicillin:

History of Aspirin

The history of aspirin and the medical use of it and related substances stretches far back into our history, also known as acetylsalicylic acid, ASA has only been manufactured and marketed since 1899.

Aspirin was derived from willow bark extract and became recognized for its specific effects on fever, pain, and inflammation in the mid-eighteenth century. By the nineteenth century pharmacists were experimenting with and prescribing a variety of chemicals related to salicylic acid ASA, the active component of willow extract and other salicylate-rich plants appear in clay tablets from ancient Sumer as well as the Ebers Papyrus from ancient Egypt. Hippocrates referred to their use of salicylic tea to reduce fevers around 400 BC.

History of Penicillin:

A natural product of unknown structure with strong antibacterial properties Alexander Fleming was the first to suggest the Penicillium mold must secrete an antibacterial substance and the first to concentrate the active substance which he named penicillin in 1928, and during the next twelve years he grew and distributed the original mold, but he was not the first to use its properties in medicine.

In Ancient times including the Egyptians and Greeks, already used Molds and other plants to treat the infection. This worked because some mold produces antibiotic substances. However, they could not identify or isolate the active component in molds.

Alexander Fleming was able to identify and isolate the natural byproduct of mold. Penicillin is the paradigm for natural products drug discovery a positive popular image for the scientific profession.

These two products were derived from Mother nature and Mother nature has provided for us from the beginning of time. The pharmaceutical Gurus contaminated the drug industry by turning these natural medicines into synthesized remedies or for that matter copying Mother Nature.

If we had put a price tag on our health, the vast majority of people are already weighed down with medical experiences. “That”! I don’t need to go into because we already know we can’t afford to get sick.

If I had to weigh the Pro and cons of the Holistic approach and Modern Medicine and why:

The Holistic Approach is not evasive nor addictive and has no side effects.

Whereas Modern Medicine by Law has to give their patients a great long list of possible side effects.

Side Effects of Modern Medicines
Aspirin (copycats)
-Can cause bleeding in the stomach because aspirin is very acidic.
-Can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, and asthmatic attacks
-People who abuse amphetamines are excitable and talkative.
-Psychologically addictive and can cause a heart attack.
-Can cause anxiety, sleeplessness, aggressive behavior and decrease appetite.
-Can cause enlarged pupils, heavy perspiration and trembling hands.
-Can cause addiction.
-Can cause allergic reactions.
-Can cause death for people who are allergic to it.
-Can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, rashes, and fever.
-Can cause loss of hearing following long-term use.
-Can cause addiction.
-Can cause addiction.
-Can cause headaches, grogginess, and loss of appetite.
Antipsychotic drugs
-Can cause dry mouth, blurred vision, urinary retention, constipation.
-Can cause tremor and restlessness.
-Sedation (make people calmer, or to make people sleepy)

These are just a few and the list goes on.

The science of Holistic medicine and Modern Medicine is changing dramatically. They are a vast number of Md’s that have changed over and are dedicated to turning back to Mother Nature and striving to identify why these enchant herbs and plant work within our bodies. As did Alexander Fleming.

There are no guarantees that the Holistic approach, at this time, is arriving at total cures and there still aren’t enough scientists working in this field. The scientists and doctors that are using the Holistic approach have cured thousands. This includes individuals that have been totally cured of Type 2 Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and cancers of all types. The doctors who treated these cases have the understanding that we are not a society of one size fits all.

  1. Good afternoon Linda,

Reading your post I can tell you I fully agree with it. We have turned away from Mother Nature and look, in what health mess we are in.
Running to the doctor to get a pill for the symptoms will not address the cause and that is why we stay sick. Modern life really does not help with staying healthy as often our food, water, air, and radiation just to name a few causes makes it difficult.
In old China, there used to be a good system. People would pay their doctor as long they remained healthy. The moment they got sick payment would stop.
Nowadays one gets the impression that Big Pharma is not interested in a healthy population, no money can be made with that.
I think the holistic approach is the right one. Not only the ailment will be checked but also the cause and it will include the lifestyle of the patient. The chance to get healthy again is then guaranteed.

    Regards, Taetske

    1. Dearest Taetshe, Thank you, you are an inspiration for many that will visit my site. Thank you for the ongoing visits I wish you all the best, my friend.

  2. You are right! modern medicine has too many side effects. Some medicines may be good at helping  certain sickness, but it comes with side effects, and only places a band-aid on the problem.

It is great that there are more research being done in  holistic medicine and more people are finding there way to a healthier life style and being cured by the holistic approach.

Thank you for telling us the  the history of  Aspirin and Penicillin. It was very Interesting!

    1. Thanks, Christine, in participating with your comment, more and more people are becoming interested in the Holistic approach. It will take time to make a change but stage has been set for that to happen. More and more Doctors are following suit.

My work here is to bring more awareness to the problem though my own experiences. In telling my story I am hoping that In some small way I will be able to guide others into looking after this magnificent organism call the human body that has the capacity to heal itself with what Mother nature has provided for us from the beginning of time.

  3. Madam,

You have enlightened us on the use of synthetic drugs in modern science and the harmful side effects these drugs pose to human health. Could you identifying the best alternative in the the holistic approach and it’s achievement in treating thousands of patients.

Or what medications has the holistic approach produced and are they completely without side effects?

    1. Dear Kabirat,

I have stated that we are not a one size fits all in healing our body with the Holistic approach. My work here is guiding people into making the changes that are needed in today’s world. In my studies I have in countered many Drs that have made the change and willing to share there knowledge with the world.

On my home page you will find Dr Mark Stengler’s Natural Healing Encyclopedia. He goes though with you home remedies that are not costly, things that you have in your own cupboards. He also goes over why they work.  I also subscribe to his news letter in so doing I have obtained many free  e books and pamphlets through the mail. I personal have his Encyclopedia, it was sent to me free I only had to pay the shipping and handling. I highly recommend his work.

The most satisfying information on the holistic approach is that they are from Mother Nature and there are no side effects. They are not drugs, drugs are the use of Modern medicine. The only side affects are the mishandling  from the use of synthetic materials that are in the capsules. That can cause sensitivities because they are made from a Gel produced from petrol chemicals. So pay close attention to what the capsules are made from. Most all of these remedies will state on their label what their capsules are made from . The vegetable gel capsules are the best.

You also use the word medication in your comment . Medication is the term used for the prescription drugs you receive from your Doctor. These are not meds they are remedies.

I could go on and on but most all that I have covered are in my writings. The only way to better health is by following some of the recommendation that I have out lined. Taking small step with just watching what you are putting into your body. In a very short time you will find yourself feeling a whole lot better.

There is always a better way to having good health,

  4. “Modern medicine has overstepped its boundaries and instead of making people better they are getting sicker” Quite apt and direct statement I couldn’t agree more, more harm is been done than good it is time to go back to mother nature for its health and healing.

My concern about holistic remedies is that it is rapidly being monetized and not cheap, I fore see a situation in the near future where conventional medicine becomes cheap and relegated while Holistic treatment continue to blossom.

    1. Dear Zuchii,

Thank you for your understanding comment I see that you are a person that has an understanding about marketing values. More and more people that us the holistic approach will find that there are Gurus out in the world what want to make a buck on the population and take advantage of the market place. You could very well be right, but there are people that really are the real McCoy.

I have a way for finding the real McCoy and anybody can do this. We have a Loving Heavenly Father that has prepared a way. It might be a fullish thing but in my work it have guided me into finding truth with a simple yes or no You will find it on this page.

With this tool all truth is at out finger tips “literately”.

Always a better way sending blessings your way

  5. Thank you for sharing this important message about holistic versus modern medicine. As you mentioned the modern method can cause so many other side effects, not to mention very expensive and profitable for pharmaceutical companies. I don’t believe we can rule out modern medicine completely, but a holistic approach should be the first option of treatment before jumping onto prescribed medications. Do you know what the difference in cost would be for a specific ailment with holistic vs modern?

    1. Hi Paul, You are correct in saying we can’t rule out Modern medicine completely.  My grandson was saved through surgical intervention , he would not be with us today if the neural surgeon was not on call the night of his accident, he would have had to be flown to Vancouver and he would not had made the trip.

My daughter at the very young age of 12 had open heart surgery and her recuperation has been a very long road. But there again if not for the Doctors maybe she would not be here ether. This could be a very long answer to your comment. But I will try to break it down to the best of my ability.

In both these cases there was extreme inflammation. With my grandson this was lodged in the tissues of his brain that interrupted his learning ability and consequently he had a learning disability from kindergarten to grade 5 and on top of this there was weight gain. There was no help from the medical world and only through the holistic approach was able to help him. Long story short he is know 15 years old in grade 10 a football player and his grades are at a level where he can become what ever he wants to be. He has to work harder then other Kids his age because he lost a lot in his first years of schooling and has to play catch up. He went from 300lb in grade 5 to 170lb by the time he reached in grade 8.

As for my daughter there was also weight gain that was uncontrollable. We had no idea at the time that it was due to inflammation also so much so that when she gave birth to my grandson she became a type 2 diabetic. The medication she was on was not helping I could see her going down hill and there again there was no help from the medical world. The doctors only upped her insulin intake I had to take the bull by the horns to the point in researching for myself. Today she is totally of medications that were killing her.

As for the cost,I am low income family and the holistic approach is not covered bye our health insurance. I know that it was costing the Government  over 500 a month for medication for her.  I had to work with many holistic meds to find the one right for her. The ones that worked for her might not be   the one for another because our body cemeteries are different. We did find it and she only has to take 4 pills a day two in the morning and two before she goes to bed. I can safely say her type 2 diabetics was reversed. And this is only cost us 70 a month

But there is a very long road for the medical world in understanding the way Holistic medication works and very few Dr’s that are ready to accept that the holistic approach should be there first option.

I am not a Dr so I cannot recommend any given medication for a diabetic. I can recommend Doctors that are working in this area that can be very easy found online.

      Always a better way
