The Holistic approach versus Modern medicine. In this article, I can not express enough the importance of changes that we need to make in returning to Mother Nature. Modern medician has overstepped its boundaries and instead of making people better they are getting sicker.
As we watch our TV screens there are Medications that are put on the market and along with them are there possible side effects that are clearly noted. If you have any of these side effects get in touch with your MD immediately.
What are we doing people?
I have been finding it hard to approach my subject on Holistic remedies without going over the pros and cons, between the holistic approach versus modern medicine. In the 20th century, most medicines were extracted from plants and medicinal herbs. Only since the 1900’s, thousands of modern drugs have been copy cating Mother Nature and have been synthesized from organic compounds.
I will use two classic examples Aspirin and Penicillin:
History of Aspirin
The history of aspirin and the medical use of it and related substances stretches far back into our history, also known as acetylsalicylic acid, ASA has only been manufactured and marketed since 1899.
Aspirin was derived from willow bark extract and became recognized for its specific effects on fever, pain, and inflammation in the mid-eighteenth century. By the nineteenth century pharmacists were experimenting with and prescribing a variety of chemicals related to salicylic acid ASA, the active component of willow extract and other salicylate-rich plants appear in clay tablets from ancient Sumer as well as the Ebers Papyrus from ancient Egypt. Hippocrates referred to their use of salicylic tea to reduce fevers around 400 BC.
History of Penicillin:
A natural product of unknown structure with strong antibacterial properties Alexander Fleming was the first to suggest the Penicillium mold must secrete an antibacterial substance and the first to concentrate the active substance which he named penicillin in 1928, and during the next twelve years he grew and distributed the original mold, but he was not the first to use its properties in medicine.
In Ancient times including the Egyptians and Greeks, already used Molds and other plants to treat the infection. This worked because some mold produces antibiotic substances. However, they could not identify or isolate the active component in molds.
Alexander Fleming was able to identify and isolate the natural byproduct of mold. Penicillin is the paradigm for natural products drug discovery a positive popular image for the scientific profession.
These two products were derived from Mother nature and Mother nature has provided for us from the beginning of time. The pharmaceutical Gurus contaminated the drug industry by turning these natural medicines into synthesized remedies or for that matter copy cating Mother Nature.
If we had put a price tag on our health, the vast majority of people are already weighed down with medical experiences. “That”! I don’t need to go into because we already know we can’t afford to get sick.
If I had to weigh the Pro and cons of the Holistic approach and Modern Medicine and why:
The Holistic Approach is not evasive nor addictive and has no side effects.
Whereas Modern Medicine by Law has to give their patients a great long list of possible side effects.
Side Effects of Modern Medicines
Aspirin (copy cats)

-Can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, and asthmatic attacks
-People who abuse amphetamines are excitable and talkative.
-Psychologically addictive and can cause a heart attack.
-Can cause anxiety, sleeplessness, aggressive behavior and decrease appetite.
-Can cause enlarged pupils, heavy perspiration and trembling hands.
-Can cause addiction.
-Can cause allergic reactions.
-Can cause death for people who are allergic to it.

-Can cause dry mouth, blurred vision, urinary retention, constipation.
-Can cause tremor and restlessness.
-Sedation (make people calmer, or to make people sleepy)
These are just a few and the list goes on.
The science of Holistic medicine and Modern Medicine is changing dramatically. They are a vast number of Md’s that have changed over and are dedicated to turning back to Mother Nature and striving to identify why these enchant herbs and plant work within our bodies. As did Alexander Fleming.
There are no guarantees that the Holistic approach, at this time, is arriving at total cures and there still aren’t enough Scientists working in this field. But those that do have cured thousands of people and there are thousands of testimonies that have been totally cured or reversed Type 2 Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Cancers of all types and these Md’s have the understanding that we are not a society of one size fits all.
