Fast Foods are they Good for You

There is “always a better way” and I have always tried to find and follow up with finding a better way. I have talked about my daughter Melissa and her type 2 Diabetes and wrote a bit about Jessy, my grandson. I wish there was an easier way to explain my own personal findings. “But there isn’t!” I am going through a cycle of giving up my cause and retreating back into my wee small world.

Today I have a newly renewed vigor to keep going. I had a very sinking feeling this weekend about how I was going to keep going with all the stress of everyday living. And especially that I am out of work at this time and I am living on credit!

You see this is not about me, it’s about three dependents that I have, all with diverse health problems. There is so much out here on the subject of Health and health care but for me, I need to find the common denominator that will target “all of us”. That seems to be a task that I would not be able to accomplish. Or so it “!seems!”

“I Can and Will Help Her?”

In my search for helping Melissa, I have come across many sites that are working on weight loss, number one industry on the market today. There is always someone coming up with a better way. The most recent are the Smoothies.  There are literately hundreds of smoothie recipes on the market. I have tried many forms of weight loss imaginable with limited results.

1. I am working with a learning disability.

2. Dieting doesn’t work because of disorder in her eating habits

3. Dietary supplements  worked for a short time then stopped working

4. Protein shakes didn’t work.

5. Smoothies were working to a degree but not on the scale that was needed.

Diabetes and Melissa

I have walked you through a few of my concerns an understanding of the dilemma we are facing in our society in the Medical world. This is not a scientific study and I am not a professional in the world of science. These are personal observations and my own conclusions, and understandings. How I came across them in everyday life and how I have used them in my own world. They are not to be taken as a total truth as there is ‘always a better way; in that anything that I have written in this post, or posts. It is my hope the given information and personal histories, will be of help to those that are searching for understanding in their way… finding a better way. In that manner, I am honored to be of service.

born 20 sept 1980 taken on her birthday 201

The early years when Meli arrived in Canada, were the hardest. For most people making a trip to another country would be an adventure, but for Meli. It wasn’t, she left behind everything that was familiar to her childhood. Where people knew her, all her life a culture, that permitted her to be linguistically independent in her Latino Culture. Meli is very sociable, loves meeting other people, to come to Canada, with no understanding of English.  Extremely frustrating for Meli, to effect her emotionally, and greatly exaggerate her health conditions to the point of acting out in rages. At first, it wasn’t so bad everything being so new. But that was short lived.

The Holistic Approach Versus Modern Medicine

I have been finding it hard to approach my subject on Holistic remedies without going over the pros and cons, between the holistic approach versus modern medicine. In the 20th century, most medicines were extracted from plants and medical herbs. Only since the 1900’s, thousands of modern drugs have been copied or synthesized from organic compounds.

The placebo effect

There are a few things that I’ll go over before we get into Melissa’s journey again and how I have come down this road of learning to then finally being able to share this with others. You could say it’s the placebo effect to pacify a nation and accept pharmaceutical solutions.  It has been you could say, a very long road. Firstly, it was not an all at one-time endeavor, as life is a continuous experience in learning different precepts to guide us along this road, at different points in time. Usually, they arrive, when we are most perceptive to them. I have said it before and I will repeat it again. We are not all made of the from the same cloth. Out ward-lee yes, because we have a body of flesh and bone and skin to cover us, and that is the physical self.

There’s always a better way

Hi, let me explain a bit about this site. I have always been drawn to a better way of doing things. It’s like thinking outside of the box. If this isn’t working there is a better way of doing it. This can mean many things and as this web page is about health and healthy chooses I will stay on this topic.

In the world we live in today there are family members, friends, dear ones that are dying of so many different ailments like Diabetes, Alzheimer, Dementia, Cardiac Arrest and Cancer only to name a few.
