All natural health remedies for my ongoing search to bring Jessy, Melissa and myself into a common denominator to heal us from this crippled world we live in. There’s always a better way as mother nature intended.
Ok, I have been stumbling around trying to move back into Jessy’s story, there is so much to cover and I feel that I will not make it into the next page but I am going to try.
At the time of his accident, I had no idea that down the road I was going to have so many trials. His little head was split from the center of his eyes in a horseshoe like manner to his right ear. There was no other way to stop the bleeding to save his life. I am forever eternally grateful for those that stepped in and helped save his life.
I was going to post a picture of him in the Hospital but I think that is very inconsiderate of me to do so. Two days after the accident he had his 4th birthday.
For those that are just coming in and are reading this post, it will be very hard for you to follow. Without going back to the beginning. This is one of my concerns because to understand my learning curves you need the whole story.
I will have to backtrack a few years for our story to make sense. My learning curve in an alternative holistic venture started way back in the early 1980’s. The art of acupuncture through my brother was a very exciting and an interesting road, it was intriguing and it was a great learning curve. This was my first stepping stone into the Holistic world.
I didn’t learn the art of acupuncture but became very good at acupressure or pressure points which use the same meridian points instead of needles.
Acupressure unblocks meridians using gentle yet firm pressure on specific points along the energy lines, called acupoints or meridians. In response to the pressure, they release endorphins, chemicals that muffle pain signals and invite pleasurable feelings. In the absence of pain, muscles relax and blood flows more freely. As tension recedes, the body finds balance.
Acupuncture and acupressure both use the same meridians and points in their healing, the difference is that acupuncture uses needles while acupressure uses both soft and firm touches on the points to generate the flow of energy.
The Classical Chinese explanation is that energy (Qi) flows in channels (meridians) throughout the body and over its surfaces. These channels are rivers of energy which are referred to as meridians. The Chinese have identified 71 meridians in the human body, which is a basic energy map for all people. The meridians are often compared to a series of interconnected highways. Each of the major organs in the body is associated with its own meridian. Through the network of meridians, the internal organs are connected to certain areas and parts of the body including the muscles, bones, joints, and other organs.
Acupuncture points are the specific points on the meridians where the Qi is both concentrated and accessible. Acupuncture engages the Qi by inserting needles at these specific points, the goal being to restore the proper flow of Qi. As the body regains its natural balance, well-being returns.
Acupuncture and Oriental medicine have been around for thousands of years, providing us with a unique and holistic approach to help prevent and treat disease. Western biomedical science and Traditional Chinese Medicine both ultimately rely on the body’s natural healing ability to maintain health and protect against disease. Both have the same goal of helping a person stay healthy.
We all go through learning curves that are to do with life’s experiences, these are tools that we learn to cope with things around us, but we also learn skills that we can share with others.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
Moving forward a few years, when I returned to Canada I was introduced to EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) with the use of tapping on the same meridians as Acupuncture.
Often referred to as “Psychological acupressure”, the technique works by releasing blockages within the energy system which are the source of emotional intensity and discomfort. These blockages in our energy system, in addition to challenging us emotionally, often lead to limiting beliefs and behaviors and an inability to live life harmoniously. Resulting symptoms are either emotional and/ or physical and include lack of confidence and self-esteem, feeling stuck anxious or depressed, or the emergence of compulsive and addictive behaviors. It is also now finally widely accepted that emotional disharmony is a key factor in physical symptoms and disease and for this reason, these techniques are being extensively used on physical issues, including chronic illness with often astounding results.
An EFT treatment involves the use of fingertips rather than needles to tap on the end points of energy meridians that are situated just beneath the surface of the skin. The treatment is non-invasive and works on the ethos of making the change as simple and as pain-free as possible.
Then later on in life, I found Kinesiology commonly known as muscle testing. Kinesiology moved me into a far better understanding of the capabilities of the human body. Through understanding the body and the marvelous wonders of how the body has the capacity of healing itself far beyond that of Western Medicine.
Kinesiology is simple. Anybody can do it because it uses your electrical system and your muscles. If you are alive, you have these two things. I know that sounds smart-mouthed of me, but I’ve learned that sometimes people refuse to believe that anything can be so simple. So they create a mental block—for example, only “sensitive types” can do this, or only women can do it. It’s just not true. Kinesiology happens to be one of those simple things in life just waiting around to be learned and used by everyone.
Even small children can learn to do kinesiology in about five minutes. It is mainly because it never occurred to them that they couldn’t do it. If I tell them they have an electrical system, they don’t argue with me about it; they just get on with the business of learning how to do simple testing. Actually, I do mean to intimidate you. Your first big hurdle will be whether or not you believe you have a viable electrical system that is capable of being tested. Here’s a good test. Place a hand mirror under your nose. If you see breath marks, you have a strong electrical system. (If you don’t see breath marks call your local emergency rescue squad you’re in trouble.) Now you can get on with learning how to use kinesiology!
The pendulum and the dowsing rod has been used for centuries these are known to be used by your inner electrical system. The dowsing Rod has been used for finding water from the beginning of time and it is through our electrical system that it works. We can easily say that this is kinesiology.
My up and coming post will be on the use of this technique and how I discovered the common denominator that leads me to Jessy’s, Melissa’s and my afflictions and how I am combating them.
I started with Jessy’s story in the blog post
I Can and will Help her
Returning from the Hospital there was much upheaval in our lives. Meli was in Costa Rica with her Dad. There was an ongoing investigation into how the accident occurred. It was very hard for the Medical world and for me for that matter to understand how Jessy has an injury so severe just by falling off the end of a living room sofa.
We were not permitted to return home until all this was cleared up. I don’t want to go through all the BS that our government put us though. But what I will elaborate on is how my very dear friend intervened on my behalf and took me and Jessy into her home for the first 2 weeks after release from the Hospital. This was in Nov 2006 and he would be starting Kindergarten in the Fall of 2007. We were to go through multiple testing to see what impact, mentally and physically, this would have on Jessy’s life.
All my learning curves up to this point have to do with the healing of the Body, Mind, and Spirit through the energies of the body. Can you see a pattern forming?
It has taken me years to connect all the dots and cross all the T’s until I came in contact with kinesiology. And came to the understanding of this wonderful body of clay that houses our Spirit.
I have added the link to Muscel testing tool the next blog post. So just click on the link it will take you to that page.
